The Massachusetts home energy assistance program (HEAP) is a FREE resource to help eligible households pay a portion of winter heating bills

Melissa can assist residents in applying HEAP. You don’t have to be on public assistance nor do you need to have unpaid heating bills.

The application window is November 1-April 30.

Direct Payments
HEAP sends payments directly to your heating provider, saving you the hassle of handling bills or navigating complex paperwork.

Supports Many Heating Types
HEAP covers a variety of heating sources, including oil, electricity, natural gas, propane, kerosene, wood, and coal. Even if your heat is bundled into your rent, you may still qualify.

Fixed Amount Assistance
You’ll receive a set benefit amount, so you know in advance how much support you’re getting.
